Dexing Copper Mine is located in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, which is Asia's largest open pit copper mine and second in the world. Currently Dexing copper mine has a production capacity of 100,000 tons per day. The main products include copper concentrate, sulfur concentrate, electro-deposit copper, etc. In 2003, the annual copper output is 12 million tons, accounting for nearly a quarter of China’s copper production, and more than five tons of gold, over 20 tons of silver. Copper ore is generally a collection of copper sulfides or oxides and associates with other minerals.
